Getting Ready for Alaska GO Team 2026!

Jul 7, 2026 | 1 comment

Welcome to the Alaska Team Blog!

Welcome! This summer, our team of 11 middle school students and 5 adult leaders from Blackhawk will be traveling to Sutton, Alaska to partner with Eaglecrest Alaska Missions to run a week-long day camp for local students. This trip is part of a longstanding partnership between Blackhawk and Eaglecrest and we are so grateful for God’s faithfulness through Eaglecrest and previous middle school ministry teams over the past decade. Our team is so excited to be a part of the ongoing work God is doing in Sutton this summer as we connect with new and old friends! We’ll use this blog to share updates, photos, and prayer requests along the way!

While the trip itself is still a few weeks away, preparations are already well underway! Over the past several months, our team has been gathering for planning meetings and team-building activities. Our planning teams have been hard at work preparing skills clubs and large group games for camp. We’ve also had opportunities to get to know each other, laugh together, share a meal (& lots of snacks), and even do a little karaoke together 🎤.

As we continue preparing, here are some ways you can be praying for our team:

  • that our team would continue to grow together and form strong relationships with one another
  • for creativity and flexibility as we finalize planning for skills clubs and large group games
  • for encouragement for the Eaglecrest staff who are on the ground hard at work for the summer
  • for the students in Sutton who will come to camp this summer!

Thanks for following along!
