Because the campers are just so bright!! We had a fantastic first day serving the community with our day camp. Some of the highlights include showing off our acting chops with five minute movies, a test of artistic skill with rock painting and wood burning, as well as the ultimate test of strength: a human wheelbarrow race combined with hoping along on a hippity hop ball! We all had a great time and are looking forward to everything that’s in store for camp day two!
Oh my goodness those hair photos are AMAZING! It looks like you guys are all having a wonderful time, which fills my heart with great joy! I continue to pray for you all daily. I pray you all are being filled up by God and by each other. I cannot wait to hear about how you all have grown as a team when you return.
Brayden-We have been filling sentences with things you would normally say at home. Also wanted to let you know that Giannis Antetokounmpo was named NBA MVP. Love you!
Day one in the books! SO MUCH DONE ON DAY ONE! What’s going on day 2? Did you get a chance to see some of God’s creation? Have you walked/hiked up the Butte? Who made sure KD made it to the top? Who had socks that were still clean after it? Praying that your hands are open and leaning into what God has planned for the week. Praying for many God sightings around the campfire!
Noah – nice hair! Will someone – actually the whole group – give Noah a big hug from his family?
Someone give high fives to all the Eaglecrest staff!

Sounds like a great start to camp! And the weather looks awesome as well. Soak up those long hours of sunshine and great forecast for the coming days.
Go team! So great to see what you’re up to as you serve there in Alaska! We’re praying for you from a distance!
Hi Alaska Team! Looks like you’re having a fun time! Praying you experience God’s beauty and joy and have lots of opportunities to share His amazing love as you are there.
You guys are literally the most fun human beings ever. I feel like I’m there with you (and would love to ACTUALLY be there with you). And I think the campers are going to need sunglasses too with all the brightness shining from this team. Peace and love friends!
a fun fact for you all –
what was the temp there today?
On this day, in 1953… it was 86 degrees in Anchorage.
Now that is some nice flow Noah Scott!!! 🤣 Time for a haircut! Also… I spent some time on the swing at the cabin in Door County today and thought of you! ❤️
So happy to hear the first day went so well! Continuing to pray for you all!
Hi Team! So excited to see some fun pictures and the weather looks beautiful! Praying for you back here in WI, that God will not only use you all in mighty ways this week, but also that He will reveal more of His awesome power and love through His amazing creation up there. We miss you, Maggie, can’t wait to hear all about your adventures! Teddy misses you, too, but is also enjoying taking over your room!🐾. Keep the great updates coming and have a blast with the campers!
You guys rock!!!! Way to serve God and his people. Pray for you to have an experiential knowledge or our Heavenly Father. Proud of you all and praying for you.
Yay God! I can’t wait to read about Day 2. For those of us back home, how else can we be praying with you? I hope you are staying healthy and drinking lots of water. Will we see anyone getting their heads shaved this year!?
FYI – USA beat Spain and will play France on Friday. And today Netherlands defeated Japan, for those of you who are wondering about the Women’s World Cup.
