Meet the 2017 Team – Kelsey!

Hello everyone,

My name is Kelsey, and I’m one of the adult leaders heading out to Sutton this summer! This is the fourth year that I’ve been a part of the Alaska team, which is great because I both feel like I have a decent idea of what to expect, and I know there are new curveballs every year that will keep me on my toes. This year I am especially excited that the teen program at the local Sutton library is also joining in this super cool partnership with Eaglecrest to put on day camp. I bet they have tons of ideas and energy to add to the awesomeness of day camp!

This year is also bittersweet for me. This will be my last year on the Blackhawk Alaska team (at least for the foreseeable future), because I’m moving to Columbus, OH just a few weeks after we get back to WI to attend medical school at OSU. I am so thankful for the opportunity to spend my last summer at Blackhawk as part of this team, and especially thankful for the support from so many people who have given financially and/or are praying for our team. This isn’t an opportunity that could be possible without you.

I’d love for all you supporting us in prayer to lift up our team. Please pray that we would have great attitudes, and servant hearts, and that we would each grow and learn from our time in Alaska. Pray that we would succeed in helping Eaglecrest to create a safe and welcoming space for the youth in their community and that our interactions would reflect Christ’s love.

Thanks for following us!
