Hello from Sutton!
After about 18 hours of traveling filled with lots of games, laughter, singing, and very little sleep (at least for some of us), we arrived safely at Eaglecrest at about 2:30am this morning (5:30am Madison time). Needless to say, it didn’t take much to get everyone to bed 🙂 This morning, rejuvenated after a solid 4-5 hours of sleep, we awoke to witness the absolute beauty that is God’s creation that is here in Alaska. After a wonderful breakfast and morning devotions, we headed to Sutton Bible Church where we had the opportunity to worship with members of the local community.
This afternoon, we experienced even more of God’s glorious creation by hiking a glacier! It was thrilling to witness the vast and untamed beauty of the glacier and surrounding mountains.
Our day camp starts tomorrow! We are incredibly excited to meet and build relationships with students from Sutton! Please continue to pray for both our team and the Sutton students who will join us this week.
